How to Compare Monitors and Channels Using Benchmark

A guide to using the Benchmark tool to compare performance across Social Listening monitors and Managed Channels — covering both tabs, comparison types, and available filters.

The Benchmark tool gives you a comprehensive view of performance metrics across your monitors and channels. You can run comparisons within Social Listening or across your Managed Channels.


Accessing Benchmark

  1. Log in to your Lucidya account.

  2. Go to Monitor.

  3. Under Tools, click Benchmark.


Choosing a Tab

The Benchmark page has two tabs:

  • Social Listening — Compare performance across your social listening monitors.

  • Managed Channels — Compare performance across your connected managed channels.

Select the tab that matches what you want to compare.


Running a Comparison

Use the filters at the top of the page to configure your comparison, then click Benchmark.

Social Listening tab filters:

  • Benchmark — Select the comparison type:

    • Monitor vs Monitor — Compare two monitors side by side.

    • Time Period vs Time Period — Compare the same monitor across two different time periods.

    • Positive vs Negative — Compare positive vs negative sentiment within a monitor.

  • Monitor Type — Filter by: Keywords, Public Accounts, or Managed Accounts.

  • Data Sources — Select the data sources to include.

  • Select Monitor — Choose the monitor(s) to compare.

  • Date — Set the time range (default: Last 7 Days).

Managed Channels tab filters:

  • Benchmark — Select the comparison type:

    • Channel vs Channel — Compare two channels side by side.

    • Time Period vs Time Period — Compare the same channel across two different time periods.

    • Positive vs Negative — Compare positive vs negative sentiment within a channel.

  • Channel Type — Filter by channel category (e.g. Social).

  • Data Sources — Select the data sources to include.

  • Select Channel — Choose the channel(s) to compare.

  • Date — Set the time range (default: Last 7 Days).

Once your filters are set, click Benchmark to generate the comparison.
