How to Set Up a Benchmark on Lucidya

Benchmarks allow you to compare monitor or channel performance across different time periods, monitor types, or sentiment directions. This article walks you through setting up a Benchmark for both Social Listening and Managed Channels.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the Monitors section from the main menu.

  2. Click on Benchmark.

You will see two Benchmark types available:

  • Social Listening

  • Managed Channels

Each type has five configuration options, detailed below.

Social Listening Benchmark

1. Benchmark Select the comparison type:

  • Monitor Vs Monitor — Compare the performance of two or more monitors against each other.

  • Time Period Vs Time Period — Compare the same monitor across two different time periods.

  • Positive Vs Negative — Compare positive and negative sentiment within a selected monitor.

2. Monitor Type Choose the type of monitor you want to benchmark:

  • Keywords

  • Public Accounts

  • Managed Accounts

3. Data Sources Data sources are determined based on the Monitor Type selected.

4. Select a Monitor Choose one or more monitors from your existing list. If you don't have a monitor set up yet, you can create a new one from this step.

5. Time Range Select the time range you want the Benchmark to cover.

Managed Channels Benchmark

1. Benchmark Select the comparison type:

  • Channel Vs Channel — Compare the performance of two or more channels against each other.

  • Time Period Vs Time Period — Compare the same channel across two different time periods.

  • Positive Vs Negative — Compare positive and negative sentiment within a selected channel.

2. Channel Type Currently supports Social channels.

3. Data Sources Select the social media channel(s) you want to include. You can select more than one.

4. Select a Channel Choose from your existing channels. If you don't have a channel set up yet, you can create a new one from this step.

5. Time Range Select the time range you want the Benchmark to cover.
