Benchmarks help you measure and compare performance across monitors and channels. Here are answers to the most common questions about setting up and using Benchmarks.
What is the Benchmark feature and what can I use it for?
Benchmark is a tool that lets you compare monitor or channel performance across different time periods, monitor types, or sentiment directions. It is available for both Social Listening and Managed Channels.
What are the two types of Benchmarks available?
You can create a Social Listening Benchmark to compare monitors based on keywords or account types, or a Managed Channels Benchmark to compare your managed social media channels against each other or across time periods.
What comparison types are available when setting up a Benchmark?
For both Social Listening and Managed Channels, you can choose from three comparison types: comparing two or more monitors or channels against each other, comparing the same monitor or channel across two different time periods, or comparing positive and negative sentiment within a selected monitor or channel.
How are Data Sources determined in a Social Listening Benchmark?
Data sources are determined based on the Monitor Type you select, whether that is Keywords, Public Accounts, or Managed Accounts.
Can I select more than one monitor or channel in a Benchmark?
Yes. When selecting a monitor in Social Listening or a channel in Managed Channels, you can choose more than one from your existing list.
What if I don't have a monitor or channel set up yet?
You can create a new monitor or channel directly from the selection step within the Benchmark setup, without needing to leave the flow.
