Public Reviews Capabilities & Limitations (FAQs)

Curious about how Public Reviews work in Lucidya? Here are the most common questions to help you get the most out of this feature.

What are Public Reviews in Lucidya?

Public Reviews are customer feedback data shared across multiple platforms such as Google Maps, App Stores, TripAdvisor, and more. Lucidya collects and analyzes these reviews to help you understand customer sentiment, identify recurring themes, and detect service gaps.

Which platforms does the Public Reviews feature support?

Lucidya supports over 20 platforms, including Google Maps, Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Facebook Page Reviews, HungerStation, Uber Eats, Booking, Airbnb, TripAdvisor, Glassdoor, and many more.

What is latency and how does it affect my data?

Latency refers to how frequently Lucidya fetches the latest data from platforms. The default latency is every 4 hours for most platforms, while TripAdvisor and Glassdoor have a 24-hour latency because they moderate and approve user reviews before publishing.

How far back does historical data go for Public Reviews?

Historical data is available from the date the review profile was created in Lucidya, allowing you to view the full customer feedback history since your monitor was set up.

Is all review data consistent across platforms?

No, the structure and availability of review data may vary between platforms. For example, not all platforms provide a direct review permalink, and some fields such as Reviewer Title and Review Title are exclusive to specific platforms like Glassdoor and Booking respectively.

How do I get started with setting up a Public Reviews monitor?

Refer to the Creating a Public Review Monitor guide available in the Help Center for detailed setup steps.
