Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a critical layer of security to Lucidya user accounts. In addition to a username and password, users must verify their identity using a second method before gaining access to the platform.
Who This Applies To
This guide is relevant to all Lucidya users — both Company Admins and End Users. Admins configure 2FA organization-wide; individual users manage their own setup from Profile Settings.
What This Guide Covers
How Company Admins configure and manage 2FA for all users across an organization.
How individual End Users set up and manage 2FA from their own Profile Settings.
The login experience once 2FA is enabled.
Edge cases, error handling, and account recovery.
Info: Verification codes are randomly generated, unique, and expire after 5 minutes. A countdown timer and a Resend Code option are always displayed during verification.
Supported Verification Methods
Lucidya supports three methods for delivering verification codes:
Method | Description | Availability |
A one-time code is sent to the user's registered email address. | All packages | |
SMS | A one-time code is sent via text message to the user's phone number. | Paid add-on (SMS package required) |
Authenticator App | A time-based code is generated by a linked authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator). | All packages |
Note: SMS verification is a paid feature. Admins can request it from within the 2FA configuration panel.
