Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
After an administrator enables Two-Factor Authentication for all users (see How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for All Users for more info), all users will receive an email to enable 2FA for their account. When they try to log in, they'll see a prompt to set up 2FA.
To enable 2FA for the first time:
Log in to your Lucidya account.
You'll see "Two-factor authentication required." Click "Enable Now" to start setting up 2FA.
Choose your verification method:
Email Verification
SMS Verification (Paid Method)
Authenticator App
Select your preferred method and enter the OTP code you receive to activate 2FA.
2FA Verification Methods
You can set up your preferred 2FA method (Email, SMS, or Authenticator App) to add an additional security layer to your account and protect it from unauthorized access.
Method 1: Email Verification
To enable this method:
Log in to your Lucidya account with your email and password.
You'll see "Two-factor authentication required." Click "Enable Now" to begin setup.
Select "Email Verification" from the available options.
You'll receive an email with an OTP code to confirm your identity.
Copy the OTP code, paste it into the verification field, and click "Verify."
That's it! You've completed 2FA setup using Email Verification. For future logins, you'll receive an OTP code via email to access your account.
Method 2: SMS Verification (Paid)
To enable this method:
Log in to your Lucidya account with your email and password.
You'll see "Two-factor authentication required." Click "Enable Now" to begin setup.
Select "SMS Verification" from the available options.
First verification: You'll receive an email with an OTP code to confirm your identity.
Copy the OTP code, paste it into the verification field, and click "Verify."
Enter your phone number with the correct country code.
Second verification: You'll receive an SMS with an OTP code.
Enter the SMS OTP code and click "Verify."
That's it! You've completed 2FA setup using SMS Verification. For future logins, you'll receive an OTP code via SMS to access your account.
Method 3: Authenticator App
To enable this method:
Log in to your Lucidya account with your email and password.
When you see "Two-factor authentication required," click "Enable Now" to begin setup.
Select "Authenticator App" from the available options.
You'll receive an email with an OTP code to confirm your identity.
Copy the OTP code, paste it into the verification field, and click "Verify."
Open an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any similar app) and scan the QR code displayed on screen.
Enter the OTP code from the app into the verification field and click "Verify."
