2FA: Configuring Company-Wide Settings (FAQs)

Have questions about configuring company-wide 2FA settings in Lucidya? Here are answers to the most common ones.

Who can manage company-wide 2FA settings?

Only users with Manager permissions in General Settings can access and manage company-wide 2FA settings. No other users can view or modify these options.

What verification methods are available when enabling 2FA?

Three methods are available: Email, SMS, and Authenticator App. SMS is only available for accounts that include the SMS package. If it's not available, you can request it directly from the same configuration dialog.

What happens to active users when company-wide 2FA is enabled?

Active user sessions remain open, but each user will receive an email prompting them to log in again and set up their own 2FA method.

What is the Remember Device option and how does it work?

Remember Device is an optional toggle that allows users to skip 2FA verification on their browser for 7 days. It appears on the login screen as "Don't ask again for 7 days" and is turned off by default.

What happens if I enter the verification code incorrectly multiple times?

You have 5 attempts to enter the verification code. After 5 failed attempts, the process is paused and the Enable button is temporarily disabled with a retry tooltip.

What happens when company-wide 2FA is disabled?

Disabling 2FA resets all user 2FA setups across the organization, including any individual configurations users had set up at the profile level.
