How to Set Up and Embed Surveys on Your Website

Lucidya introduces Embedded Surveys, enabling you to collect instant feedback from your website visitors. This feature allows you to embed survey questions directly on your website, either as a pop-up window or an interactive button. Below is a step-by-step guide to set up and embed surveys professionally.

Steps to Create and Set Up a New Embedded Survey

Step 1: Create a New Survey

  1. Navigate to the Surveys product from the main navigation bar.

  2. Click the "+ New Survey" button at the top of the screen.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select "Embed on Website."

  4. Enter the name of the new survey and click "Create."

  5. You will be directed to the survey creation page. Click the "(+)" button to start adding questions.


Step 2: Add Questions

  1. After clicking the "(+)" button, a list of available question types will appear (e.g., multiple-choice, ratings, etc.).

  2. Select the question type you want and add it to your survey.


Step 3: Customize Survey Display Options

From the right-hand panel, configure the display settings:

  1. Embed Options:

    • Pop-Up: Customize alignment, primary color, corner shapes.

    • Button: Customize:

      • Button text.

      • Font type and color.

      • Corner radius.

    • Adjust Size and Position: Choose from large, medium, or small and set the position on the page.

  2. Design Customization:

    • Survey Font Style: Select font type and color.

    • Survey Backdrop: Choose a background color and opacity.

    • Additional Options:

      • Progress Bar: Enable or hide.

      • Hide Sections Header: Toggle display of section titles if the survey has multiple sections.

  3. Opening Settings:

    • Opening after:

      • None (instant display).

      • Fade in up or down.

      • Slide-in left or right.

  4. Frequency Settings:

    • DisplayFrequency: Choose how often the survey appears:

      • Display once.

      • Every session.

    • Stop displaying after:

      • Cick submit button.

      • After closing pop-up.


Steps to Publish the Embedded Survey

  1. Click the "Publish" Button:

    • A pop-up window will guide you through the publishing steps.

  2. Step 1: Add a Domain

    • If adding a new domain, enter your website’s domain name in the provided field and click "Add."

    • If the domain has been added previously, select it from the list.

  3. Step 2: Set Display Scope

    • All Website Pages: The survey will appear on every page of your website.

    • Specific Pages: Add the URLs of the specific pages where the survey should appear. Click "Add" after entering each URL.

  4. Step 3: Verify the Domain

    • After setting the display scope, click "Publish."

    • Follow the on-screen steps to verify your domain.

    • If verification is successful, the status will change to "Verified."

    • If there’s an error, review the steps and retry.




Once these steps are completed, the embedded survey will appear on your website in the chosen format, ready to collect valuable feedback from your visitors.
