Want to know how to request historical data and use it to extend the scope of your analysis? Here are answers to the most common questions.
What is historical data and how does it differ from data collected by a monitor?
A monitor begins collecting data from the moment it is created. Historical data refers to conversations that predate that moment. This feature allows users to retrieve past conversations and extend their analysis to cover earlier time periods.
How can I request historical data?
The request can be submitted by navigating to the historical data request page in Settings, then selecting the product, data source, monitor or account, date range, and finally setting the maximum number of posts required.
Which data sources can historical data be requested from?
Historical data can be requested from multiple platforms including X, Facebook, Instagram, blogs, and news sites, depending on the sources supported by the platform.
How do I know how many posts are available for my historical data request?
The platform automatically informs you of the remaining posts in your subscription package while submitting the request, helping you manage your usage and make an informed decision on the maximum number of posts.
How will I know when historical data processing is complete?
Once data collection is complete, the monitor will automatically reflect the requested historical data, and you will receive an email notification confirming that the process has been completed.
