Lucidya alerts notify users of unusual activity in Social Listening conversations in real time. They automatically detect significant changes in volume, sentiment, and engagement, helping teams stay informed without continuously monitoring dashboards.
Why use alerts
Alerts help teams:
Detect sudden spikes in conversation volume
Identify potential reputation risks through changes in sentiment
Monitor viral or high-impact content as it emerges
This allows faster response to important developments across monitored conversations.
How alerts work
Alerts are triggered when current activity exceeds typical patterns based on historical data. Lucidya compares recent activity — such as the last hour — against baseline averages such as the previous 24 hours or 7 days. When activity crosses defined thresholds, a notification is generated.
Alert types
Lucidya supports multiple alert types based on different activity patterns:
Trending Alert — triggered when conversation volume in the last hour exceeds the average of the previous 24 hours
Negative Posts Alert — triggered when negative posts spike compared to the last 24-hour average
New Post Alert — triggered when a new post is detected within the monitored conversations
Influencer Alert — triggered when a user with a high follower count publishes a new post
Verified User Alert — triggered when a verified user publishes a new post
High Volume Reach Alert — triggered when post reach spikes compared to the hourly average of the last 24 hours
Viral Alert — triggered when post interactions significantly exceed the average of the last 7 days
When alerts are most useful
Alerts are most effective when used to monitor key signals and respond quickly to changes. Teams can use them to investigate sudden increases in conversation activity, identify and respond to emerging reputation risks, and track high-impact or viral content in real time.
